Meditation, Mindfulness & The Art of Relaxation (Yoga Nidra)
Create contentment in everyday life.
“Without a sense of meaning our lives lose their lustre. We endure our days rather than embrace the living of them. To enter the realm of meaning requires attention and dedication.” Gunilla Norris
Living in a culture where being busy is the norm and bench mark of success, it’s no wonder most of us are stressed, fatigued and unfulfilled in our day to day lives. Often we live with one of two worries – that there’s something wrong and, there’s something wrong with me! Mindfulness can support us to see ourselves in a different way in the world.
We tend to get so identified with our anxiety, anger, fear, grief, success and failures that it becomes who we think we are. The truth is there is something much greater to who we are. We all have an inner goodness, truth and awareness that is vast, compassionate and filled with love and joy.
Through the practice of mindfulness and meditation we can find ourselves having more and more access to our own basic goodness. We can experience momentary glimpses of ease, peace and authentic connection to ourselves and the world around us. When we allow ourselves to be open to these experiences and feel them in our bodies and deliberately cultivate and skilfully install these qualities into the mind and body, they start to become our default setting. It’s not that we disconnect from our emotions and feelings, but that we allow them to move through us. It is part of being human to think, we generate thousands of thoughts every day, these are real but not necessarily true. Mindfulness strengthens out ability to navigate our busy minds and decide where we want to focus our attention.
Beginning a meditation and mindfulness practice requires only your slight willingness. Your desire to experience something new is all you need to get started.

The Art of Relaxation – Yoga Nidra
‘Yoga Nidra is a direct path into a full and complete release of everything that pulls us out of the most precious healing experience we have full absorption into the perfect present moment that is of the frequency of pure unconditional love and bliss’. Jana Roemer
Yoga Nidra is a lying down mediation practice that operates in a multidimensional way. As humans, we are multidimensional. We are not only made of matter (physical body), but also exists as energetic, emotional and intuitive beings. As we lie down to rest, a Yoga Nidra guide takes us on a journey through the layers of ourselves and who we identify as. These layers or Koshers in Sanskrit, directly translated as sheaths, create an illusion of who we are. Yoga Nidra is a systematic process where we overcome the illusions and remember our true Self. As this happens, we gradually and effortlessly move inward, receiving a profound sense of relaxation and renewal.
